Place G1 at the anterolateral ankle between the tibialis anterior tendon and lateral malleolus over the superficial fibular sensory branches.

G2: dorsolateral foot

Place G2 3–4 cm distal to G1 on the dorsolateral foot, keeping the recording pair aligned with the superficial fibular nerve.
