01Course and sensory territory
Articular sensory branches, without a routine cutaneous SNAP.
02Motor supply
Supraspinatus and infraspinatus.
03Localization clues
Isolated infraspinatus involvement may suggest the spinoglenoid notch; both muscles suggest a more proximal site.
04Combine the studies
Sample both muscles and compare deltoid, biceps and cervical paraspinals. Imaging may identify a cyst or shoulder pathology.
