MEASUREMENT WORKSHOP

Calculation workshop

Use example values to understand each formula. Results show calculations and units, without assigning a diagnosis.

Segmental motor conduction velocity

Velocity (m/s) = distance (mm) ÷ [proximal − distal onset latency] (ms)

Example: 50.0 m/s

Use two CMAP onset latencies and a measured segment distance, not peak or F-wave latencies.

RNS amplitude change

Decrement (%) = [first − comparison response] ÷ first response × 100

Example: Decrement 15.0%

Use the same measurement definition. An increase is reported as increment. Separately document response number, exercise and acquisition conditions.

Comparative latency difference

Difference (ms) = latency A − latency B

Example: A − B = 0.50 ms

Keep distance, latency definition and laboratory method consistent. No arbitrary diagnostic threshold is applied.
